DENISE VAN OUTEN is pregnant with her first child, it was revealed today. The 35-year-old actress and TV presenter had her 12-week scan this week and the baby is due next May. Denise met her husband Lee Mead, 28, when she was a judge on BBC1s talent show Any Dream Will Do, and she is due to give birth just as she finishes as a judge on a similar show, to find a West End star for The Wizard Of Oz. A friend said: Shes insisting shell work all through her pregnancy. The couple spent last night telling friends and family their news. A source added: To say they are ecstatic would be an understatement. The babys healthy and everything is going to plan. Denise made a pact with David Walliams in 2006 where they agreed to marry each other within two years if neither had found love. THE first thought on seeing the HD2 is one of horror --it looks huge. It dwarfs the iPhone with its giant screen. Thankfully the device is slim, although it must be the biggest a phone can get while still fitting into a pocket. The display makes navigating a joy and typing is easy thanks to a buzz when a key is hit. The handset is let down by the number of applications available. A 5 megapixel camera also trumps the iPhone. Overall, this is the best competitor to the iPhone on the market, but Apple still has the edge -- just. The HD2, made by Taiwanese firm HTC, goes on sale this week. Its touchscreen display is one of the largest ever installed in a phone and the device can easily download new software, although there are fewer applications available than for the Apple handset. This is the first phone that matches the iPhone in terms of slickness, said Will Findlater, of technology magazine Stuff. HTC previously made phones for other companies but has recently started to sell under its own name.
