LITESPORT AFTER REF RANTBREAKING NEWS... Ticket fraud warning for Ryder Cup GOLF fans are being warned about forged or invalid tickets for next Octobers Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales. Photographic identification is being introduced for the first time, and Richard Hills, the European Ryder Cup Director, said today: We need to make it clear to anyone intending to be at the 2010 Ryder Cup that they are strongly advised to purchase tickets through the official channel. Failure to comply with this warning could lead to fans being seriously overcharged for tickets which are simply not valid and unnecessary disappointment as those unwitting fans are turned away. We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries from members of the public who have paid for Ryder Cup tickets and hospitality through unofficial sources. In all cases, the sums involved have been far in excess of the face value of the tickets and it would appear that the seller is unable to guarantee entry into the event. Public tickets to see Colin Montgomery (above) and his European team bid to win back the cup are allocated by ballot. Arsenal are looking good at the moment. They are scoring goals like they always do but when they pick up injuries they tend to miss some key players. Manchester United have some tough games coming up as well. The former Crewe and Norwich striker did return to action in 2007 and even won an England recall. West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has steadfastly refused to write off Ashton but it is understood that the big striker has had to admit defeat because of chronic degeneration in the ankle. West Ham, who are expected to announce Ashtons retirement later Everton striker Louis Saha scored with his sides only shot in the first half after 26 minutes and teenager Dan Gosling doubled their advantage in the 63rd minute. An own goal from Tony Hibbert two minutes later revived hopes for West Ham but Hines again missed two terrific opportunities before the end as Everton held on. We had many chances and they had only two, said a crestfallen Zola. That is a big question mark for me. How can we lose a game like that?
