In court papers objecting to his arrest warrant over the missing money, Murray insists part of the problem was death threats, to himself and his staff during the investigation into the death of Jackson, 50, below, in June. Murray claims the threats resulted from media coverage and made it impossible for him to be in his office, so he didnt receive notice of child support court hearings. He also blames the recession. Nenita Malibiran, mother of Murrays 10-year-old son, obtained a judgment last month for $13,300 (8,000) in missed payments. Second runway plan for sold-off Gatwick GATWICK airport was sold for 1.5bn today -- and its new owners immediately signalled a multi-mil- lion-pound makeover to include a second runway. Under the new plans, Global Infrastructure Partners want to compete with Heathrow for holiday business with a major overhaul of services and new long-haul routes. They are also set to call for the second runway, which will increase flight capacity by 40 per cent. Gatwick, which handles 32 million passengers a year, is the busiest single-runway airport in the world. The new moves mean this could rise to 45 million passengers. Under an agreement with resi- dents, a new runway cannot be built until 2019. But it is understood the new owner will begin the long plan- ning process now. That will cause protests from householders and environmentalists. Brendon Sewill, chairman of the Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign, said GIP must not ride roughshod over local concerns. Global Infrastructure Partners is a venture between General Electric and Credit Suisse. It bought London City Airport in Docklands for 700m two years ago. Gatwick was put up for sale after the Competition Commission ruled BAAs ownership of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports gave it too much market power.
