Just months after she was axed as one of the judges from the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, Phillips has been forced to put back her new production until next year. Phillips, 66, is directing and cho- reographing the dance musical spectacular Sacred Flame, which stars former Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow. She has joined fo rc e s w i t h Ro n a n Hardiman -- the musical composer of Michael Flatleys Lord Of The Dance -- for Sacred Flame, a coming-of- age tale set in South America. It was due for its world premiere at T he O 2 a re n a on 28 December but producers have had to push the date back until next year because they want more time. A spokesman for the show said: The producers have made the deci- sion that, in order to deliver a truly first-class show that fulfils the vision of the creative team, extra time is needed in the pre-production stage. The show is a massive technical undertaking -- it pushes the bounda- ries of traditional musical theatre into arena spectacle... it will not be possible to meet the strict timeline for the a r e n a s h o w s i n December.
