Who we saw doing what with who last night... LONDONeye C HERYL COLE has hit back at critics after she was attacked for not planning to sing live on Saturdays X Factor show. The Girls Aloud star will pre-record a perform- ance of her debut solo single Fight For This Love, but insists she doesnt know what all the fuss is about. Pre-recording live performances is nothing new on the show -- Girls Aloud, Take That and Miley Cyrus all did it last year. Cheryl, 26, told a pal: I really dont see the problem. I will be sing- ing live. I just wont have time to get changed and get prepared for the performance, and be a judge on the show. It would be too hectic. Of course, there might be something to be said for pre-recorded performances -- Robbie Williams sang live on Sundays show, and look where it got him. He is trailing a long way behind Alexandra Burke in the singles chart this week, and she is said to have mimed her performance on the same programme. Her single Bad Boys, with Flo Rider, is outselling Robbies Bodies two to one in the midweek charts. X Factor bosses confirmed that they didnt think Cheryl would have time to flit between her seat on the panel to the stage in time, so encour- aged her to pre-record. Yesterday the Geordie singer admitted she was absolutely terri- fied about her solo debut, adding: The nerves started weeks ago. Its really here and happening. I love performing but Ive sat for weeks judging people and now Im putting myself out there to be judged. Chez also spoke of her desire to become the new Simon Cowell, spot- ting talent and then helping them b e c o m e s t a r s. S h e s a i d : Developing talent -- I love it. I love the buzz, its like a rush. Its like what my team say when we come off from a Girls Aloud performance. Some have watery eyes if weve had a good one and are like, Oh my God, I was so proud of you. I didnt really get it until I did the show and now I totally get it, to the point where I think this is where I want to go. Pre-recorded: Cheryl Cole will sing her new solo single THE X Factor is on everyones lips at the moment, even at posh bashes like the Vogue And Bulgari party at the Saatchi Gallery last night. James Corden, 31, defended his pal Robbie Williams, who had some stick after his performance on Sundays show, saying: I thought he was absolutely brilliant when I saw him on stage, dont listen to what everyone says. Meanwhile, Razorlights Johnny Borrell attacked the show for not being real. He added: Its just not my thing. When pressed further on the subject, however, the 29-year- old singer admitted: But what do I know? I dont even have a television. Elviss 41-year-old daughter, who was married to the Bad singer in 1994 for less than two years, was at Mahiki in Mayfair with her mum Priscilla for the Paul Smith store launch party. Our spy told us: Lisa Marie was having a great time with her friends. She was dancing away until Thriller was played. Without warning, she walked off the dance floor and went back to her seat and looked really upset. She had just nipped over from a photoshoot in west London for Amsterdam clothing brand Supertrash, despite recently telling us that she was too busy to model for Burberry.
