Sweden, Portugal and Hungary can all take advantage if the Danes slip up, otherwise it will be between these three teams for second place. GROUP 2: Four teams could still win the group, though Switzerland are in the box seat with their next game against Luxembourg. Greece v Latvia in the next round of matches could go a long way to determining second place. GROUP 3: Slovakia need a draw or better against Slovenia to qualify. If they lose, they have another chance to wrap up the group against Poland. Slovenia are the only team that can catch Slovakia, but if they do not do that, they are in pole position to claim second. GROUP 4: Its a race between Germany and Russia for top spot -- the teams meet on Saturday with Germany holding a one point lead. GROUP 5: Spain have qualified and Bosnia- Herzegovina are favourites for second spot, although they will want a win in their penultimate match in Estonia as their final game is against Spain. Turkey are the only team which can profit if Bosnia-Herzegovina slip up. GROUP 6: England have qualified. Croatia remain in second place, two points ahead of Ukraine but with only one game to play. GROUP 7: Serbia are strong favourites to top the group, and they are guaranteed at least second place. Victory over Faroe Islands in their next game will ensure France a runner-up spot at least. GROUP 8: Italy are guaranteed at least second place and need only to draw away to the Republic of Ireland in their next game to win the group. GROUP 9: This section was completed last month with Scotland missing out on a play-off spot after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Holland. All three regional places in the World Cup finals remain up for grabs as the tightly contested CONCACAF qualification process reaches the penultimate round tomorrow. The USA can secure their place with a win in Honduras, who boast a 100 percent home record thus far. Mexico, who made a poor start to qualifying under former England boss Seven-Goran Eriksson, are second on 15 points and have a much easier task at home to fifth-placed El Salvador. The top four in the group qualify -- Brazil and Paraguay have already taken up two of those spots -- while the fifth placed team enters a home- and-away play-off with the fourth placed team from the CONCACAF zone. Argentina will be hoping to avoid that ignominy, but need to overhaul Ecuador, and fend off the challenge of Uruguay, who they play in Montevideo in their final game next Wednesday. This weekend Ecuador face Uruguay at home, while Argentina have the straightforward looking task of beating Peru at home. Japan, South Korea, North Korea and strangely, Australia, have already qualified from the Asia zone. Bahrain beat Saudi Arabia in a two-legged play- off for the right to meet New Zealand, in another play-off. GROUP A: Cameroon can complete a remarkable comeback and clinch a World Cup berth this weekend if they beat visiting Togo tomorrow and Gabon lose at home to Morocco at the same time. GROUP B: Tunisia will qualify for their fifth World Cup finals on Sunday if they beat visiting Kenya and Nigeria lose or draw at home to Mozambique. GROUP C: Egypt may be the reigning African champions but they look unlikely to qualify for the World Cup. The Pharaohs play Zambia away from home this weekend -- and if they fail to win and Algeria avoid defeat at home to Rwanda, then the Desert Foxes will be through and Egypt out of contention. GROUP D: With Ghana already in the draw for the World Cup the only issue left is who will join them at the Nations Cup -- Mali need just a point at home against Sudan to qualify for Januarys tournament. GROUP E: Ivory Coast can afford to lose against Malawi should Burkina Faso fail to beat Guinea and still be sure of a place in South Africa. index.html2.html3.html4.html5.html6.html7.html8.html9.html10.html11.html12.html13.html14.html15.html16.html17.html18.html19.html20.html21.html22.html23.html24.html25.html26.html27.html28.html29.html30.html31.html32.html33.html34.html35.html36.html37.html38.html39.html40.html41.html42.html43.html44.html45.html46.html47.html
