The ex-Baywatch star is said to have lashed out after the doctor was called to his London hotel room, where, it is claimed, he been drinking for days following Simon Cowells 1m 50th birthday party in Hertfordshire on Saturday. According to The Sun, Dr Paul Ettlinger was called to the five-star St Martins Lane Hotel on Tuesday by the actors personal assistant Joe Townley, who was concerned at how intoxicated Hasselhoff was. When Dr Ettlinger arrived, Hasselhoff was so furious he alleg- edly lashed out at his assistant, accidentally hitting the medic. Fearing Hasselhoff was out of control, hotel staff manhandled the 57-year-old actor to the base- ment while Dr Ettlinger -- said to have a bruised forehead -- called for an ambulance. The star was taken to Londons 1,000-a-night Capio Nightingale Hospital, which provides treatment for addictions. He was discharged yesterday. Hotel guest Maria Weston, 44, told how she saw Hasselhoff swear- ing in the bar. She said: He was abusing all the staff, shouting. Hasselhoff has been admitted to hospital at least five times due to alcohol poisoning. The actor became famous in the Eighties and has also had a music career. He is now a judge on Americas Got Talent. A 10-YEAR-OLD twin boy has died three days after suffering a minor injury while falling off his scooter. Angus Hardie, from Essex, hurt his leg on Saturday and was expected to recover fully but gradually became so ill that his parents called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital in Southend. His condition failed to improve and he was transferred to a London hospital, where he died on Tuesday. The precise cause of death was unknown today, as his parents awaited test results.
