Kelly Ann Walz, 37, was killed after entering the 15ft by 15ft pen in Pennsylvania where she kept the 350lb black bear. She threw some dog food to one side of the cage to distract the animal, but it set upon her. The bear was shot dead by a neighbour. Neil Ellerbeck, 46, is accused of killing wife Kate in their Enfield home last November, allegedly in fear that a divorce would cost him half his fortune accrued as a senior banker with HSBC. After his arrest he denied they had both been having affairs, the court has heard. But the jury has since been told he had been seeing another woman for two years and, having bugged his wifes phone, knew she was having an affair with their childrens ten- nis coach. Ellerbeck, whose children are aged 13 and 10, said today: I felt I didnt want the children to know that mum had been having affairs, that dad had had an affair and we had fights. He has told how he struggled with his wife, shoved her and struck her on the chin with the heel of his hand after they argued. But he says he acted in self-defence and denies killing her, insisting she was still alive when he left the house and that he returned to find her dead. The trial continues.Trial: Neil Ellerbeck index.html2.html3.html4.html5.html6.html7.html8.html9.html10.html11.html12.html13.html14.html15.html16.html17.html18.html19.html20.html21.html22.html23.html24.html25.html26.html27.html28.html29.html30.html31.html32.html33.html34.html35.html36.html37.html38.html39.html
