Who we saw doing what with who last night... LONDONeye L OUIS WALSHS X Factor troops are hardly going to be brimming with confidence ahead of the live finals on Saturday. It seems the Irish pop mogul has already given up, claiming he has no chance of winning this years competition. Louis, who is mentoring the groups -- Miss Frank, Kandy Rain and John & Edward -- moaned that he was always given the hardest category. Speaking at the Pride Of Britain Awards last night, where he was joined by fellow judges Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole, he said: Its my sixth time on X Factor and my fourth time with the groups. Why cant someone else get the groups? They always give me the hardest category. Its annoying but its predicta- ble. They never want me to win the show. Simon always gets the best category. He has the best category again this year. Him and Cheryl just show up and get the best cate- gories. Dannii and I work so hard. I will try but I wont win. At which point Simon chipped in: Well thats confi- dence, Louis. Thanks for taking part. Louis, 57, has come under fire for putting the annoyingly awful Irish twins John & Edward through to the final. But he came out fighting, saying: Theyre not great singers but they could be great popstars. Kids are gonna like them. Being a popstar is not all about being a good singer. Look at Kylie! Eeek! What on Earth was he drinking? At least Louis had a bit of luck last night. It was Simon who got grabbed by the Phantom Hugger outside Grosvenor House in Park Lane. 8 Tuesday, 6 October 2009 London Lite Shockoutburstatawards Dannii says no to a little Minogue Guest: Peter Andre Peterbumpsinto hisoldflameMel WHILE the Katie Price circus plumbs new depths, her estranged husband Peter Andre is quietly getting on with his life. He was a guest at the Pride Of Britain Awards last night, and ran into his ex Spice Girl Mel B, who was a presenter at the ceremony. They looked delighted to see each other. DANNII MINOGUE has sent a pretty clear message to her new boyfriend Kris Smith: she is NOT having a baby. She told us last night: He would love a baby, he asks me on like a daily basis. Im not so keen. I say to him, If you can have the baby then lets go for it. But Im not sure I want that happening to my body.
