George and Angela Allen, a mother of one, fought over Blanchard by sending him ever sicker and more vile images or describing explicit and depraved fantasies. But none of the three ever met as Blanchard groomed the two women on Facebook and goaded them to outdo each other emailing the abuse photos and porn. Today George, of Plymouth, Allen, 39 of Nottingham, and Blanchard, 38 of Littleborough, Lancashire, appeared together in the dock at Bristol Crown Court. They pleaded guilty to a total of 35 charges of child sex attacks and making, possessing and distribut- ing indecent images of children over more than two years. They will be sentenced at a later date by Mr Justice Royce. The three were tracked down after the business partner of Blanchard --who worked in a suc- cessful IT company in Manchester -- contacted police when indecent pictures were found on a work computer. Blanchard was then arrested at Manchester airport in June as he returned from a business trip to Dubai. George, who had spent 10 years E Continued from Page 1 as a childcare worker, and Allen were identified and arrested soon afterwards. Police investigators had spotted part of a logo for Georges employer, the Little Teds Day Unit, on her shirt in one of the offending pictures. Her arrest led to an outcry from parents in Plymouth who feared their children had been among those assaulted and photographed. But due to the nature of the images, the identity of most of the abused individuals may never be known. Parents also demanded to know how George -- who had no previous convictions and passed all the vetting checks-- got her job at the nursery in the first place. Facebook, the social networking website, enabled them to make contact independently and although living hundreds of miles apart the three did discuss plans to meet -- though the plans were never made concrete. Officers today described George and Allen as truly sinister and evil and said they were baffled as to how a chance encounter on the web led to such sick abuse.
