The remains of Leah Questin, 37, were found by a dog walker at a pond near Rochester, Kent, on Friday. The care worker, who lived in Cricklewood, was last seen two weeks ago on her way to meet a man she had got to know on the adver- tising website Gumtree. A 35-year-old IT profes- sional from Lewisham was arrested yesterday on suspi- cion of murder, but it is believed that, athough he has admitted seeing Leah, he insists she was alive when he said goodbye. Friends and colleagues today paid tribute to ms Questin, from the Philippines, who was reported missing f r o m h e r h o m e o n 1 2 September and was last seen boarding a southbound 172 bus at Elephant & Castle. miss Questins co-workers at Lansdowne Care Home in Cricklewood told of their shock. one said: Leah was a good person. The Mayor met Duane Lamonte, 24, who has choreographed a dance routine for one of the charities who will benefit from fundraising. On Saturday, up to 700 bars, clubs and pubs in London will ask their customers to donate a pound to London For London. Lamonte made the final 24 contestants in the X Factor at the weekend and flew to Morocco with the five other solo male hopefuls for his final audition in front of mentor Cheryl Cole. But he took time out to choreograph dance troupe Spirit, eight young dancers from the Kids Company, one of three charities that will benefit from London For London. Spirit performed for Mr Johnson outside City hall. Lamonte said: The charity saw me on The X Factor and approached me for the London For London campaign. Its a brilliant idea. Its also great that Boris is involved and Saturday will be a great night. The campaign, backed by the Lite, hopes to raise 1million for childrens charities Kids Company, Volunteer Police Cadets and 95.8 Capital FMs help a London Child.
