The clips from live shows add a new dimension to the now familiar TV meld of travelogue and comedy, and noble is a winning enough personality. yet the desert vistas and outback towns all start to merge into one, and a six-week run seems a bit of a stretch, unless there are big surprises to come. S uppose you had a vision of your life six months from now. Big deal, you might think. How much could have changed by then? But imagine that your premo- nition was of yourself in danger. or your partner with another lover. or, most frightening, that you saw nothing at all. FlashForward boasts a hugely intriguing premise to lure us in, along with a starry cast -- led by Joseph Fiennes -- and the big budget you get when a us TV network splashes the cash. The time is more or less now, the place, Los Angeles. Tonight, Fiz is set to be pledging herself to John, but the course of true love does not run smoothly. Meanwhile at the Kabin, norris (Malcolm Hebden, pictured) attempts to lay down the law to Tina -- with comical results. They come round to the obvious disaster of crashed planes and cars, but also with the memory of a vision they all had while unconscious of exactly the same moment, six months into the future. What the heck happened? And is what they saw destined to come true? That heart-racing opening promises the viewer a drama of mouthwatering potential, but youll have to be prepared to give yourself up to the mystery: FlashForward is set to run for 22 episodes, so you can be sure it will take its sweet time to reveal whats going on.
