PRINCE WILLIAM has given his full backing to the London For London campaign and urged everyone to dig deep for the cause. The 27-year-old prince said: London For London is a brilliant and unique fundraising initiative. Its aim is simple: to help reduce violence among young people in the capital. By asking everyone who is out and about on Saturday to contribute just a little to three great charities, we can all help to make London a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone. I wish London for London the very best success. On Saturday, up to 700 bars, clubs and pubs in the Greater London area will ask everyone who walks through the door to donate 1 to London For London. The campaign, backed by Lite, hopes to raise 1m for three leading childrens charities -- Kids Company, Volunteer Police Cadets and 95.8 Capital FMs Help A London Child. Every penny donated will be given to the organisations, whose work addresses violence among young people in the capital. William, and his younger brother Prince Harry, 25, are regular guests at private members club Boujis, which is involved in the campaign. The clubs managing director Matthew Hermer said: Boujis is very committed to this fantastic initiative and believes this is for a great cause. Top clubs Farringdons Fabric and Matter at The O2, have signed up to take part in the campaign and will be taking donations on Saturday night. Gary Smart of Ministry of Sound said: Ministry are immensely happy to be involved in such a fantastic product, a great opportunity to give something back to the people have supported us for 18 years. Well done to the team behind London for London. l For more information g o t o l o n d o n f o r London Lite Monday, 28 September 2009 19 Get clubbing for charity, says William Princebackscapitalgigfest by georgina littlejohn Clubbing together: princes William and Harry index.html2.html3.html4.html5.html6.html7.html8.html9.html10.html11.html12.html13.html14.html15.html16.html17.html18.html19.html20.html21.html22.html23.html24.html25.html26.html27.html28.html29.html30.html31.html32.html33.html34.html35.html36.html37.html38.html39.html40.html41.html42.html43.html44.html45.html46.html47.html48.html49.html50.html51.html52.html53.html54.html55.html
