IN&OUTTONIGHT 20 Tuesday, 22 September 2009 London Lite I did her. I do prefer to be asked questions and Liberty didnt ask that many, but it wasnt a completely one-sided conversa- tion and I was never bored. I was up for going on somewhere else afterwards but she said shed just bought herself some new pyjamas and couldnt wait to get back into them! I took her at her word on that and didnt see it as a brush-off. She later said I was the best guy she could have gone on a date with so I knew Id made a good impression. I said Id like to see her again and not just as friends. We didnt swap numbers. I asked if I could take her number and she said she didnt know it off by heart and so to add me on Facebook. We did kiss on the way to the Tube station. I think were going to meet again and I have a feeling that the next time it will probably be a wild one out on the town. I wrote in to date Dan as he looked attractive in his picture. on the night he looked totally smooth and acted like a gentleman. He was dressed very smartly, which I was impressed with, but it made me feel a little underdressed. I was wearing the dress I wore to work and while I Did he LOVE Single FILEWhat happened when we sent two Lite readers for a date at a boutique ice cream parlour? Dan Muller, a 25-year-old investment manager assistant from Oval, chose to date liberty Hutchinson, a 23-year-old conference producer from Whitechapel as he liked what she was looking for in a guy. We sent them to invent their own ice cream flavours to see if their hearts would melt for one another. I choSe Liberty as she said she wanted someone whos smart enough to conform by day, but interesting enough to rebel by night, and I thought that sounded like me as my friends call me the weekend gangster. Initially it was a good first impression. Liberty was blonde and pretty but once wed said hello I felt she came across as a bit defensive and sarcastic, and I thought the date was going to be a nightmare. Thankfully though, after not too long, things started to flow very well. Maybe shed just been nervous. We were in our in element during the ice cream tasting as it was very light- hearted. It was very adult ice cream -- we tried things like toffee apple ice cream with an absinthe shot. The showpiece was where we sprayed liquid nitrogen on to syrup which froze into ice cream before our eyes. Within about five minutes we forgot we didnt know each other and I think we were at our most flirtatious during the early part of the date. It was a bit of a downer on the way to the restaurant, Quo Vadis. It was raining so hard that even a minute walking in it would have got us soaked and there were no taxis to be found. So after the initial high of meeting we had to start over again at the restaurant to rebuild the atmos- phere but we did fall back into flirting after a while. We chatted about our career aspirations and previous relationships. Im a very good listener and I dont think Liberty came away knowing as much about me as Fancy going on a date with this hottie, courtesy of Lite? Thousands are looking for you at Italian comfort food: Bocca Restaurant CHEAP DATE My bOyFrIEnD and I usually hibernate on Sundays, but a few weekends ago, after an afternoon in our local pub, we decided to head to Bocca restaurant (14 High Parade, Streatham High road, SW16, 020 8677 3646) -- one of our favourite restaurants for a comforting Sunday night meal. Wholesome, home-cooked Italian food pretty much sums up the menu here. nestled into a cosy corner, the restaurant was surprisingly busy. We started off sharing a plate of garlicky doughballs (1.50). For my main course, I ordered the American Hot pizza (7.50) and my man decided on the lamb meatball spaghettini (7). We washed it all down with a bottle of pinot grigio (13.50). but the best thing about bocca is its in staggering distance from home.
