The shop worker, 24, was seriously injured when five men raided a branch of Costco in Croydon, south London, last night. The armed gang burst into the Purley Way ware- house store and demanded cash at about 7.45pm. It is believed the worker man- aged to chase three of the gang out of the store, but was shot by one of the two remaining assailants. Police said the employee was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital where today he was being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound.
