LITESPORT London Lite Tuesday, 15 September 2009 39 LAMPMOURINHOBREAKING NEWS... Badebayor gets charged on two fronts THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION have hit Emmanuel Adebayor with two charges following his stormy performance in Manchester Citys win over Arsenal on Saturday. Adebayor (above) is facing a three- match ban for violent conduct for the incident involving Robin van Persie, while the City striker is likely to face an additional punishment for the celebration that followed his goal in the 4-2 win. Unless the Togo international can successfully argue his case, he is almost certain not to be available for City at least until their trip to Wigan on 18 October. The player, who has the right to appeal, has until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charge and will learn his fate on Friday. HULK FC PORTO GIVANILDO VIEIRA DE SOUZA , or Hulk as hes more commonly known these days, will pose the most obvious threat to Chelsea tonight, after the Portuguese side sold their Argentine duo Lisandro Lopez and Lucho Gonzalez in the summer. ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC BARCELONA WHO got the best out of the Etoo / Ibra swap deal wont be known until the prizes out in May, but the initial signs suggest everyones a winner. However, while Etoo has won this competition twice, Zlatan has never even managed to score a goal in the knockout stages -- will he put that right this year? LUIS FABIANO SEVILLA ITS a travesty you cant yet back the Brazilian to be the top scorer at next summers World Cup. While, the likes of Romario, Ronaldo and for a time Adriano were what you might term box office, Fabianos goal to games ratio compares favourably with any other striker on the planet. SERGIO AGUERO ATLETICOMADRID The prodigious Argentine forward may now be regarded as the one that got away for Chelsea, if FIFA uphold their transfer embargo. Celtic assistant manager Mark Venus, heading for Thursday nights Europa League opener against Hapoel Tel-Aviv in Israel, said: The game is gone. We got beaten, we got knocked out, so we are where we are. UEFA have made the decision in the best interests of what they thing is right; they changed their mind on whatever evidence they have, so you have got to go with that.
