Actor Kevin Kennedy, 48, who played him from 1983 to 2003, has been in talks about joining the soaps 50th anniversary episodes next year. He said: Curly still has a tale to tell. thetruthisout: men are liars MEN tell twice as many lies as women, researchers have found. A study of 2,000 Britons found that men fib six times a day on average, while women tell three a day. The most common lie for both sexes, was: Nothings wrong, Im fine. The 67-acre site is being redeveloped as part of a facelift that has brought the Eurostar to north London and created a hotel and apartments at the station. Although decommissioned in the Eighties, the 1850s Gas Holder Number Eight is Grade II-listed and so it cannot be dismantled. A contest was held to decide its future. The shortlist of five entries for the 2.5m project includes a design by Feix and Merlin, of a slide and a rooftop trampoline above a community centre. The winning entry will be named next month. THE JAILED stepfather of tragic toddler Baby P has turned to religion, becoming a Jehovahs Witness. Steven Barker has told staff at Wakefield Prison that he has found God at last, but many think his new faith is a cynical ploy to win them over. A senior source at the West Yorkshire jail said Barker keeps a Bible in his cell and is deadly serious about his new faith. But he added: A lot of officers feel his conversion is a cynical move to try to win them over because it makes him look like hes got a moral compass after all. But the thought of seeing him on a doorstep with a copy of The Watchtower will chill anyone to the bone. Barker, 33, was jailed in May for 12 years for his part in the torture and death in 2007 of 17-month-old Peter Connelly, known as Baby P. Peter was the son of Barkers girlfriend, Tracey Connelly, 28, who was ordered to be held indefinitely with a minimum term of five years. Barkers brother, Jason Owen, 37, who was also the couples lodger at their Tottenham home, was sentenced to three years in jail over the death. Barker is also serving a life sentence for raping a two-year-old girl. He is a hate target among inmates at Wakefield and staff said they were concerned about him being attacked because Jehovahs Witnesses are not allowed blood transfusions. ANANCIENTmonument never before seen outside Mexico will be the centrepiece of the British Museums main autumn show. The one-tonne, 5ft stone altar, known as the Teocalli of Sacred Warfare, was commissioned 500 years ago by the Aztec ruler Moctezuma II. Curator Dr Colin McEwan said: Even experienced colleagues gasp when they see it. The show runs from 24 September till 24 January. by georgina littlejohn Deadly serious about faith: Steven Barker, above, and Baby Peter, left index.html2.html3.html4.html5.html6.html7.html8.html9.html10.html11.html12.html13.html14.html15.html16.html17.html18.html19.html20.html21.html22.html23.html24.html25.html26.html27.html28.html29.html30.html31.html32.html33.html34.html35.html36.html37.html38.html39.html40.html41.html42.html43.html44.html45.html46.html47.html
