MINUTE-LONG HEARING ENDS FEUDING TV PAIRS MARRIAGE London Lite Tuesday, 8 September 2009 7 BY MARK BLUNDEN Split: Price is now with cage fighter Alex Reid Katie and Pete have a quickie (divorce that is)PETER ANDRE and Katie Price finalised their acrimonious divorce today, the court hearing taking just over one minute. Their relationship began in 2004 in the Australian jungle on Im A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! and ended after four years of marriage in court six of Londons High Court. Neither party attended. Andre, 36, reportedly filed papers first, but when Price, also known as Jordan, found out, she instructed her solicitor to make a counter-claim. Both blamed the other for unreasonable behav- iour. The Mysterious Girl singer told ITV show This Morning that he didnt know the divorce was due to be finalised today and added: Just before I came here I was told its been accepted. Im going to find the details out after this. Andre and Price, 31, who is now dating cage fighter Alex Reid, went through a very public split, the build-up to which was seen in their ITV2 reality show. The final straw for Andre came in May after Price was pictured with men on an apparently drunken night out in Bristol. He is believed to have insisted on a pre-nuptial agreement before their lav- ish pink-themed wedding in 2005, but this could change as the pair have two children, Junior, four, and Princess Tiaamii, two. A friend said: Peter isnt really asking for any money or property but there are a few pieces of furniture he wants. The financial agreement is almost there, but theyve got to thrash out custody issues. The case was heard by Judge Bradley as Price K v Andrea P J, the singers real surname. A decree absolute will be granted after a six-week cooling off period.
