Yann Samuelides, a managing director of Goldman Sachs, is said to have promised the cash t o 2 8 - y e a r - o l d A l z b e t a Holmokova, a court heard. Her 67-year-old husband Denis Morley told a divorce court that Mr Samuelides, 35, showered his Slovakian wife with gifts. Mr Morley, a retired busi- nessman, is contesting Ms Holmokovas petition for divorce at Clerkenwell and Shoreditch county court. He claims Mr Samuelides rented a flat for his wife. Mr Morley admits having once threatened to kill Mr Samuelides. His wife has filed for divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour. He bribed her to leave me, Mr Morley, from Coventry, told the court, adding: My wife had told him she loved and respected her husband. She said she was happy and had to refuse him. He threatened to commit suicide if she stopped seeing him. So I said. Youd better keep seeing him. His response was, Heres a 5,000 diamond ring, heres a 1,500 handbag and 3,500 cash. Eventually he said, Leave your hus- band and come and live with me and Ill give you 500,000. She has told me that shes with him for the money. Shes not guilty to robbery at the drug den, near Arsenals Emirates Stadium, at Blackfriars Crown Court last week. Lewis, 24, was said to be heartbroken over the prison sentence because she and her cousin are very close. In the past she has spoken about his troubled life, saying: Being in such a close family has given me strength in many ways in times of difficulty.
