Norton and OGrady GRAHAM NORTON could leave the BBC for Channel 4 by Christmas, according to reports today. He is expected to replace chat show host Paul OGrady, who sources say is moving to Sky after refusing to accept a pay cut. Norton, 46, joined the BBC in 2005 on a reported 7.5m contract for a bundle of flagship shows. But friends say he was angry at being asked to present the flop Totally Saturday. A source close t o t he ho s t said: Graham has enjoyed his time at the BBC, but it is unlikely he will be signing exclusively with the BBC at the end of this year. Channel 4 are very keen to have him home. Its where he started his TV career, and we are talking about taking Paul OGradys teatime slot. OGrady is said to be in talks with Sky after refusing a 50 per cent pay cut from Channel 4. He told the Daily Mirror today: Cutting it by half is outrageous. We cant do five days a week for half the price. Imagine it -- thered be no guests. Certainly, we wouldnt be able to send our mums to Dallas to do a marathon, or take the little lad who has never been out of Peckham to Tibet. Honestly, it would be the bare a*** of a show and it would be a compromise too far. Id be mortified to do a show thats third-rate. The Paul OGrady Show, on Channel 4 at 5pm, attracts up to three million viewers and OGrady, 54, is reported to be on a 2m salary. If he leaves in December, he is expected to make up to 9m over several years. Both the BBC and Channel 4 declined to comment. Nortons spokeswoman said: We are in discussions with the BBC.
