The Life & Death Of Peter Sellers BBC1, 11.05pm (2004) In thIS unique and surreal biopic, the comic genius and cruelty of Peter Sellers are displayed in equal measure. the sad thing about it is that Sellers fans will feel their hero has been stolen from them, replaced by an unlikeable petty fantasist. Geoffrey Rush (above as Sellers playing Dr Strangelove) puts in a strong performance as the deeply flawed comic genius. Commando ITV4, 12.20am (1985) RetIReD special forces officer John Matrixs daughter is kidnapped by a former comrade in arms, now in league with a deposed former dictator. however, the would-be tyrant is not prepared for the lengths that the veteran soldier will go to to save his child. adventure, starring arnold Schwarzenegger, above, and Rae Dawn Chong. Shaft E4, 11.05pm (2000) SoMetIMeS it would be better to just leave things where they belong, fondly nestled in our hearts and memories. this remake dragged Shaft into the 21st century, and audiences didnt really like it when it got here. the film follows the nephew of the original Shaft as he tries to avenge a racially motivated murder.
