Researchers called on the Health Department to have an urgent rethink of its current policy during the swine flu pandemic, saying that government reaction was based on hysteria. Their study found that Tamiflu caused vomiting in some children, which can lead to dehydration and other complica- tions. And they said the drug had little or no effect on asthma flare-ups, ear infections or the likelihood of a child needing antibiotics.
