On Tour With The Queen Channel 4, 9pm In 1953, the newly crowned Queen elizabeth II undertook a coronation tour across five continents at the age of 27. In this imaginatively conceived new series, actor and playwright Kwame Kwei-Armah retraces her steps, and his reflections on the making of the young monarch and Britains relationship with the former colonies makes this a good cut above the usual travelogue. We begin tonight in Bermuda and Jamaica in the Caribbean, and then visit Tonga in the Pacific (never a colony, but closely tied to Britain). Its nice work if you can get it -- but Kwei-Armah more than earns the gig as a lively and companionable guide.
