A GROUP of London bus drivers are to protest about pay cuts tomorrow by revealing their underpants at Marble Arch. Union Unite claims that disparity in drivers wages, which can vary by as much as 10,000 a year between companies, and variations in other conditions of employment are leading to a damaging race to the bottom in service provision. Drivers in the demo will carry placards and wear boxer shorts bearing the message: Stop the race to the bottom. by bo wilson Victim: Nathan WilliamsIF yoU consider yourself the next Banksy, why not have a go at designing the artwork for the Charlotte St Blues bars new black cab. Comparedownload.com has access to a combined catalogue of more than 10 million songs drawn from online music retail- ers including Tesco Digital, Amazon and Apples iTunes -- which accounts for 70 per cent of all online music sales. But its launch could prove to be a blow to iTunes, which ben- efits from Apples excellent software design but does not offer the cheapest music. A test of the website -- a series of searches for music singles and albums -- revealed that in all instances iTunes was undercut by one or more of its competitors. The sites founders, James Bott and Darren Sher, said they hoped the it would encourage more music fans to download legally by offering them more options. At present, legal down- loads only make up an estimated five per cent of all music obtained online. Mr Bott said: The inspiration for the site was born out of frustration at having to search Willyoujustget aroommom! Rumer has it: Ashton, Demi and Rumer before the frolics through a range of stores to find the music I wanted at the right price. The launch is yet another chal- lenge to Apple after Spotifys new download service was unveiled earlier this year in conjunction with online music store 7digital.
