Over seven weeks theyre tasked with challenges to find the winner, wholl get the one job going. They start tonight filming elephants in Botswana. The losers are sent away, not fed to the lions. nick Knowles, right, presents. Dragons Den BBC2, 9pm THeres a very revealing moment right at the start of tonights episode: the Dragons are all invited to take part in a drumming workout provided by the organisers of musical team bonding exercises. its a fun preamble before the hopefuls ask for a handout. everyone agrees to take part -- everyone bar dour Duncan Bannatyne, that is. is there any party this man could not poop? But stick around, for later in the show comes probably the slickest pitch ever given. its a sight to behold as we see how the millionaires nervously bid to outdo each other when theres a seriously good investment at stake. N ot often do you see DJs as paragons of modesty, but heres C h r i s M o y l e s describing what he does: I play records and talk a lot. that does sound uncharac- teristically restrained for the Radio 1 motormouth who rules the breakfast time airwaves, but theres a good reason for his sense of perspective. Hes speaking from the killing fields of Belgium where his great- grandfather died in one of the earliest clashes of the first World War. Who Do You think You Are? has a knack for showing the other side to famous faces as theyre taken out of their com- fort zone into the secrets of their familys past. Sometimes thatHistory lesson: Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles traces his roots Emmerdale ITV1, 7pm THeres an angry confrontation between Mark (Maxwell Caulfield, pictured) and Faye as he wants to know just what she thinks shes up to, being in the village. she stands her ground and hes horrified by her threat to ruin his life. and at The Woolpack, Diane has to rope in rodney to help behind the bar when val disappears. three generations back his family were mired in the grind- ing poverty of the slums, a catalogue of overcrowding, disease and the workhouse. Just a little further back, into the late 19th century, and the picture is even worse: out of his great-great-grandparents 15 children, only five survived. to see where they rest, Moyles has to trudge through the long grass to the unmarked paupers graves at the back of the cemetery. theres one note of light relief, however. the star is convinced his name has its origins in the Gaelic for war rior or something similar. finally an expert straightens him out -- it actually means bald.
