I, Robot Film4, 9pm (2004) THIS special effects-laden film is set in 2035, when doctors can graft living skin over robotic limbs, and the world veritably teems with artificial intelligence. Will Smith, above, stars as a police officer with a prejudice against robots. When he discovers that a robot may be involved in a murder case, he goes after the suspect with predictable zeal. The Naked Gun Film4, 11.10pm (1988) LESLIE NIELSEN, above with co-star Priscilla Presley, is superb as the bumbling police detective Frank Drebin. In the first of the Naked Gun series, Drebin has to foil a plot to kill Queen Elizabeth, who rather strangely is intending to attend a baseball match during a US visit. One-liners, sight gags, double entendres and good old-fashioned slapstick abound. Memphis Belle ITV3, 9pm (1990) THIS film follows the fortunes of a tight-knit American bomber crew as it flies its final mission over Germany. The target is Bremen, and the bomber formation comes up against some fierce resistance from German fighters and anti-aircraft guns. Will the crew make it back alive? Stars Matthew Modine, above, Eric Stoltz and Billy Zane. Bowfinger ITV2, 10pm (1999) STEVE MARTIN ever so slightly redeems his credibility as a comedy writer/actor with this film. He plays a Hollywood producer who is desperate for one last hit before hes 50. He plans to cast action star Kit Ramsey in his new movie -- without Ramsey knowing about it. Eddie Murphy, above with Martin, does his usual multi-role schtick, as Kit and Kit lookalike Jeffernson Jiff Ramsey. FROM 75 2009 Specsavers Optical Group.
