TELEVISION Filmchoice FILM RATINGS excellent very good good average poor KEY (R)repeat (S)subtitles on text service STEPHEN MARR BBC2 ITV1 Channel 4 Five London Lite Wednesday, 1 July 2009 27 The Good, The Bad And The Ugly Five, 9pm (1966) I love this film. It is action-packed, funny, sad, thought-provoking, brilliantly directed and has an awesome soundtrack. The storys excellent, too. Three very different men are all after the same hidden treasure. Alliances are formed and broken, and the finale is one of the best bits of editing Ive seen. Stars Clint eastwood, above, lee van Cleef and eli Wallach. Sexy Beast Film4, 11.05pm (2000) Ben KIngSley, above, delivers possibly the most vicious character in cinema history. He plays Don logan, who demands that retired safecracker gal comes back for one more job. Its a real treat to watch Kingsley menace his hardman co-star Ray Winstone. A superb supporting cast includes James Fox, Ian McShane and Amanda Redman. Hitch Five USA, 10pm (2005) IF yoU want to try to woo the woman of your dreams, then Alex Hitch Hitchens will tell you how to do it. Hitch himself is interested in gossip columnist Sara, but his world is about to be turned upside down when a friend of Saras is dumped by a guy she thinks is one of Hitchs clients -- and Sara plots her revenge. Stars Will Smith and eva Mendes, above. Thirteen ITV2, 11.40pm (2003) KevIn CoSTneR, above with co-stars Steven Culp and Bruce greenwood, cant seem to keep away from movies about John F Kennedy. In this one, Costner plays White House aide Kenny oDonnell during the Cuban missile crisis. In typical Costner style, he flits about the Kennedy brothers, essentially pulling the strings.
